And the aft view.

This is the 1/2500 scale Starship Modeler Kit Factory Loknar-class frigate that I "refit". It was a "second" from a WonderFest Parts Drop - WF '04, I believe - that I sort of "refurbed" by filling in a small void in the casting. I then filled in the cut-out section on the aft saucer part of the hull.

Next, I used a razor saw to cut off the upper decks - Bridge plus decks 2 & 3 - and the lower sensor array. I then added a resin-casting of a Refit upper decks and two sheets of .030" sheet stock to the lower hull to "thicken it up" a bit before adding a resin casting of the refit lower sensor array. I then took a spare photorp pod from a seconds casting of the PNT Models Avenger-class heavy frigate, built up a small connecting strut and glued it in place.

Next came a pair of the upper piece from the Refit impulse engines, trying for a look reminiscent of the Phobos-class heavy frigate - a sort of new build version of the Loknar, but with much smoother lines. Finally, a pair of resin castings of the Refit nacelles.

I left the nacelle pylons as-is, as well as the diameter of the hull as this was simply a Refit of the original, not a new-build or complete redesign. I've got a number of aftermarket decals to use on her - some custom, some straight stock - from a variety of sources to use on her: PNT Models (various vents and hangar doors), Gizmotron Models (deflector/aztec pattern decals), JT Graphics (miscallenous markings) and custom name & registry from a friend.

I've got to repaint this one, tho. I'm not at all happy w/what I did several years ago, so will strip and repaint before decaling.
